LAWSON HARRIS

The Texas Country Music Scene continues to produce up and coming singers and songwriters, and Lawson Harris is no exception. Harris grew up just 40 miles north of Fort Worth, Texas in the small town of Decatur, where his love for country music began. Growing up just outside of the infamous “Cowtown”, Harris was surrounded by the rodeo lifestyle and country music, so he decided to do both!

After rodeoing for Weatherford College, Lawson moved to College Station, Texas and decided he wanted to pursue a musical career full-time. Within a short time in the Brazos Valley, he developed a strong following and began playing shows all around Texas, but he wanted more.

“Moving to Nashville has been a dream of mine since I first picked up a guitar,” Harris said. “That’s always been my goal". Lawson did just that, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 22. He began writing songs and playing with some of the industry’s best around Music City. “Nashville is such an electric place,” Harris said. “I am so blessed to be living out my dream in this town.”

Lawson prides himself on staying true to his Texas rodeo roots, and it shows in his music. Lawson just released his Debut EP “I've Been” and is slated to release more music this summer. Being only 26 years old, Lawson is just beginning his exciting career in country music.
